THEO-N165-The Ten Commandments Six - Ten (1 CEU)
Using Pillar Three of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Sacred Scripture, documents of the Church, and lectures of the late moral theologian, Monsignor William B. Smith, S.T.D. students who successfully complete this course should be able to describe in general the rights and duties of the sixth through tenth commandments of the Decalogue as taught by the Catholic Church. It consists of three lessons and four DVD lectures that focus on the Scriptural foundations, obligations, sins, and virtues related to Commandments six through ten. In fidelity to Scripture, in conformity with the example of Jesus, and following the tradition of the Church, students who complete this course should be able interpret the sixth through tenth commandments in light of the twofold commandment of love as a response to God’s loving initiative. Ten clock hours or 1 Continuing Education Unit is awarded for this noncredit course.
